The most confident person I know is a friend I play baseball with. Even though we are all 45 years old and older playing in a 35 and older division, he always displays great confidence at the plate or in the field.

The results are pretty amazing. He consistently has a batting average of around .600 each season, which is not easy to do, even in the higher division. I have to say there is a connection between his attitude and personal confidence and his success.
In sports, it has always fascinated me how this mind/body connection works. Playing and coaching baseball for most of my life, I can almost tell when someone is going to succeed or fail based on their body language and attitude.
I have seen amazing athletes struggle mightily without a strong mental game and conversely, athletes who do not have the highest ability become the MVP’s of their teams.
Success is typically not an accident. Success and confidence come from a lot of hard work, excellent mentorship, and a strong personal desire to succeed in achieving one’s own goals or team goals.

An individual knows when they are or are not prepared to meet the challenges in front of them. They know if they have met the necessary requirements to reasonably expect success or not. This is how champions are made. At the heart of life-long learning is the idea of perfecting the difficult or impossible.
