Daily writing prompt
What is the biggest challenge you will face in the next six months?

My local union and the school district have been at odds since last year and we as union members have been stepping up our political actions. I am one of the elected representatives for my school so this has taken up a lot of my time.

In addition to the 200 or so students I have a day, the advisor for the soccer program and Model United Nations Club, I now have to be a political leader. Lucky for me, I do enjoy this work and well suited to it with my historical knowledge.

I am hoping that a settlement will be reached soon, but it is not looking good right now for a variety of reasons. I am proud to be a part of the labor movement, fighting for better working conditions for teachers, but it may be the straw that breaks the camels back this year.
