I am reading The God Emperor, the fourth book in the Dune series and ot proposes some interesting ideas about how to make a more harmonious society.

Leto the half-man half giant- sandworm descendant of House Atreidies has an army entirely made of women called the FishSpeakers. These Fishspeakers are immune to the forces that create much of the chaos in male dominated armies.

Leto argues that ongoing peace can only be insured by having a female army. His reasoning is that the male armies always need an external enemy or they turn on themselves. Females do not do this. Females are not naturally aggressive and prefer harmony and cooperation to conflict in a very general sense. Maybe we should give it a go?

Ideally we should become a theocracy under this model as well and ban all technological advancement, not so sure about that part, but the all female army idea stands up. I wonder how many wars would have been prevented this way?
