My favorite animal would have to be the owl. I remember when I was doing my teaching credential owls were symbolic of becoming a wise-old teacher. I certainly did not feel like an owl when I was in credential school. I felt like a bird that may never learn to hunt on his own!
Over the years and with a lot of practice and intentionality, I have begun to take the form of that wise-old owl I wanted to be. I feel like I am really hitting my stride in a lot of ways these days. Although my body definitely is beginning to act its age, my mind continues to develop and get stronger each day. I feel like I have fully embraced life-long learning!
