Skin and Bones By Foo Fighters

I am wearing this aging body today. It would be amazing to see how many steps one has had in their life, heart-beats, injuries recovered from, adversities conquered, and cheeseburgers eaten.

My age is 46 years old, but I don’t think that accurately reflects the miraculous nature of human existence.

I have been alive for 16,790 rotations of the Earth, 402,960 hours, 24,177,600 minutes. 1.45 x 10 to the ninth power seconds. It is even more insane to think that, I may not even be halfway through my life.

So in short, my skin and bones are definitely the oldest thing I am carrying around these days. Thinking about this topic makes reminds me of this song by Foo Fighters. Give it a listen if you have a moment!

I thought it might be interesting to explore the lifespan of mammals on Earth by comparison to my own lifetime “stats” for comparison purposes.

  1. Wow, interesting facts! Thanks for putting things in perspective.

    1. Thanks! Perspective always makes a difference!

    1. Thanks! It is crazy to think how long other animals live. There is a shark in Antarctica, I believe, that can live for over a thousand years, but obviously, not a mammal.

  2. That’s exciting! So many interesting things we learn here! Of course, I didn’t know about all these… And I love facts! Congrats on your effort on your blog dear! Don’t let me start about my age too. I’m 36 and unfortunately, many times I feel so much older. However, in fact, our ages are great! I’m sure we have much more to live 🎉☺️
