I would have to say December is my favorite month because I live in Southern California. It also doesn’t hurt that I am off of work for two weeks of that time.

We can get rain during December, but most years it is in the 60’s or 70’s during the day. The weather is not particuliarly prohibitive to any outdoor activities, but if you want to get up into the Sierra Nevadas for some worldclass winter recreation, it is not that far.

We also have the beach fairly nearby and local mountains, along with all the cultural aspects of Los Angeles. In short, it can be quite a sublime time of year here.
