Insane Story of the Day
My girlfriend and I love “true crime” stories and have been intermittedly watching Forensic Files II on our vacation. We went through most of season 3, which had some remarkable stories of how law enforcement was able to catch killers using forensic techniques. This episode took the cake though.

Gang member murdered three construction workers to steal money from a safe. They did not know these individuals in any way, just rolled up and killed them all in cold blood.
There was little evidence left at the scene that gave investigators a clear direction to look for these killers other than the firearm used being a technine-semi automatic, which seemed to suggest something gang related.

Anyway, they start narrowing down who did it and one of the killers had stepped in dog feces at the time of the murder. Investigators made a mold of the shoeprint from the dog feces and this became the lynchpin evidence in convicting the killers. Unbelievable! Anyway, check out Forensic Files I and II if you are into this sort of stuff.
