Good leadership flows from a calm spirit. Good leaders understand the link between calm and logical thinking, especially in crisis. A leader that is calm under fire inspires calm and focus in others.
During the NFL playoffs yesterday, this was the deciding factor, especially at the quarterback position. Conditions were difficult for passing with low temperatures and snow falling during the game: the quarterbacks that could maintain their composure led their teams to victory.
Good leaders cannot make excuses, must take full responsibility and perform under the most difficult circumstances. They must accept although results may not always go their way, process can be controlled and improved.
