Ten years will be a magical time for me, good Lord willing…I will be retiring! I have a pension that I will get to collect, plus well…there’s that pension! If I am at least done working unless I want to work, that will be a win!
Investing in the Future
I hope to have several houses that I rent out in ten years. I am actually going out to Illinois to possibly buy my first investment property in May, so that is exciting! If I can get to where I have three or four rental properties out there or maybe one or two here in Cali, I should be well positioned for retirement and leaving a legacy to my kids that they can have a chance to improve on.
Not Working Would Be Enough
Having money is nice an all, but I could be perfectly happy living in a mobile home on a river somewhere with some nice thunderstorms, maybe a little bit of snow every now and again, blogging away my days. That should be very doable, but I really want to leave a good financial legacy for my kids. Maybe someday they will even go back and read all these blogposts to remember dad.
