I met a tall bald headed middle aged man whilst on vacation in Switzerland while hiking in the Alps. He was carrying around a laptop, which was kind of strange given the remoteness of the location. My mother had taken me on this trip and he started chatting her up, or maybe the other way around, it has been a while.

As we got to know each other better, he started venting his frustrations about his current situation. He said he was a CEO back in the U.S. who had gotten into some sort of trouble with law enforcement, or possibly the CIA looking back on it.

He told us he was wrongfully accused of something because he was a “whistleblower”. I don’t remember all the details of the story, but it was pretty believable. I asked him why he was continuing his fight as a whistleblower and he told me this remarkable quote, “You have to find your sanity, whatever it is, this is mine.” I always remembered that and it as good advice for life.
