I use social media to do a myriad of things. Although, I tend to keep things very G rated since I am a teacher, I still enjoy using social media at times.
My Favorite Social Media Outlets
I think my favorite social media right now is WordPress of course for blogging, but for entertainment, Tik-Tok. My girlfriend is addicted to Tik-Tok so she filters a nice stream of videos to me on topics that I like. We both are animal lovers, so it is typically either animals doing crazy things, or relational commentary/vignettes.
I use to really only use Facebook, but I only use that for posting photos for family now, or if I find an exceptionally funny meme. I have social media accounts for my blog as well, the Facebook page is the most successful of those, so I use it for that as well.
Involuntary Tik-Tok Stardom
Sometimes I am involuntarily a Tik-Tok star when students film something funny I do. The next day they come in and tell me how funny I was. Although this year since I started collecting phones at the beginning of class, has not happened much. If I do catch students on their phones posting videos or taking a selfie, I like to photobomb them.
That’s about it, nothing terribly exciting for me, but that is somewhat by design. I have a Tik-Tok channel for my pets that is pretty hilarious, at least I think so. If you want to check it out, it is @bunchy7777.
