I admire my teammates on my adult baseball team. We are a collection of older gentlemen who still go out on Sunday’s and play baseball. Till 9 innings or three hours, they give it 100%

Usually no fans, no big glory, just the game between men. The desire to win and to be the guy that does his part to make that happen.

Guys playing baseball at over 40 years old have at least one maybe several nagging health issues. Some guys can’t throw very good, some can’t hear well, and some don’t see well. Does that stop us, he’ll no it doesn’t!

We had a guy blow his hamstring in the fourth inning after getting a game tying base hit. He played the rest of the game at third and first base. He even tried to pitch when we ran out of pitchers.

This type of thing is an almost weekly experience. It is inspiring to see older guys still getting after it, being team players, and having each others backs.
