This is an interesting question. The positive emotion I feel most often is a sense of accomplishment. As I get older, I hit more milestones each day.
This kind of ties in with the previous prompt about goal setting. I have been trained to set goals constantly, evaluate my progress towards them, and reflect on what worked and what did not via reflective construction.
Simple goals like cleaning up the yard, if set, written down, and accomplished can give one a great sense of accomplishment and sets the stage for achieving other goals.
“Life is a struggle and the potential for failure is ever present, but those who live in fear of failure, or hardship, or embarrassment will never achieve their potential. Without pushing your limits, without occasionally sliding down the rope headfirst, without daring greatly, you will never know what is truly possible in your life.”
