The mansion from the movie, “Alien Covenant” would be my ideal place for reading and writing, minus the creepy A.I. David and Mr. Wayland, his “creator”. The room that we see in the movie looks out upon a pristine wilderness (I am guessing Alaska). The walls and floors are a white color, with light softly penetrating the room. Presumably Michaelangelo’s “David” would be in the center of the room along with Francesca’s “Nativity” frescoe and other priceless works of art.
I, of course, would not be trying to subdue the universe through colonization, but rather simply writing and reading peacefully. I would also probably spend a good portion of my day hiking and fishing to find inspiration for my writing.
By the way, if you have not seen “Alien Covenant” and are a fan of the franchise or science fiction in general, it is a “killer” movie, pun intended, a truly terrifying ride into a possible future.
If you don’t think the “Aliens” are real, they were modeled on a microscopic organism found in deep oceans that, you guessed it, is a parasite, lays eggs in its prey and they hatch out in the most unsubtle of ways. Good thing those things are tiny! Yikes!
“Meet a parasite that can create its own mobile nursery for its young, a parasite that is thought to be the inspiration behind the chest-bursting xenomorph in the film Alien. Meet Phronima, the pram-pushing, barrel-riding parasite.”

If you have not seen “Alien Covenant” I highly recommend for a creepy sci-fi thriller. It is available on Prime Video to rent or buy. ”Aliens Special Edition” has to be my favorite sci-fi horror film of all time and probably #1 overall. It is an oldie but goodie if you have never seen it!
