Daily writing prompt
What were your parents doing at your age?

At my age my parents were working hard, trying to give their little boy a good life. My father commuted 2 1/2 hours to work each way so that we could live in a nice house. My mother commuted 45 minutes or so a day, both worked very hard.

At the end of the day, the most overwhelming key to a child’s success is the positive involvement of parents.

Jane D. Hull

I didn’t see my dad a whole lot as he would stay in L.A. for days at a time. My mom took care of me for the most part, but I spent a fair amount of time with babysitters. I had a good life because of them, something I have never forgotten.

  7. Great question! At my age, my parents were retired. Dad was recovering from a stroke, so he was taking it easy. Mom was taking care of him and getting out to play tennis when she could.
