My most ideal day would probably begin with a powder snow day at Mammoth Mountain, preferably at least 24″ or so riding with friends. After a hearty lunch that would definitely include chili cheese fries, it would be time to head down the mountain to Bishop Golf Course.

I would play a nice 18 holes of golf on a picture perfect mid-seventies down down in the valley. Since it is an ideal day, I would actually play half-way decent golf or just have a great time with buddies. Golf would wrap up around 5:00 p.m. and then it would be time to…..do some fishing!

As I would roll up to the stream, I would see hatches of caddis flies swarming on a nearly windless afternoon at the Owen’s River in Bishop, California also. I would not have forgotten or broken any equipment don the journey to the stream (this is always a bummer) and would have to work for it, but would eventually catch some nice brown trout on #18 elk-hair caddis flies. I would watch the sunset from knee deep in the river finding a deep sense of fulfillment and peace.

After all this fun, it would be time to settle down for a good meal somewhere with my girlfriend. We would talk long into the evening about all the fun adventures of the day and our plans for the next day, maybe with some sushi!

Thanks for reading the Life Long Learning and Education Blog! I hope you have a fantastic week, wherever you are! What would your ideal day be like from beginning to end?
