If two plane tickets fell out of the sky for any destination in the world, I would choose Valle Nevado ski resort in Chili.

Valle Nevado ski resort

What’s that you say, why go to a ski resort in summer? Well my friends keep in mind it is winter below the equator right now.

Not to mention they are having an epic winter down there this year. My Ikon Base Pass is good at this particuliar resort, so I would not have to pay extra for lift tickets.

Throw in the diverse history of Latin America and the cultural richness of the people there, yeah that is an easy decision for me!

Thanks for stopping by The Lifelong Eduaction Blog! How long till it snows in North America? Summer its been real, but time for you to exit stage right!

  1. Austria and Japan

    1. Definitely on my list!

  2. Great posts as always. A challenging question for me to answer because I have never been very fond of travelling. I hate having to sit on long flights which require losing sleep, giving up hobbies and take up a ridiculous amount of time. That being said, there are certain places in the world I have always liked to at some point visit. Los Angeles is a city I have wanted to visit since I was a young child. As a film critic, I am fascinated with a city where movies are made. I would love to visit a film set where movies are made just for fun. The city has several sites such as the Griffith Observatory that I would one day like to visit. If I won two plane tickets, I would probably take my dad along with me because he’s also a movie buff and fascinated with Hollywood.

This post brought to mind the Oscar-winning film “La La Land”. Damien Chazelle’s masterpiece tells a story about a pair of star-crossed lovers whose romance clashes with harsh realities of living in a land of opportunity. It’s a tribute toward Los Angeles and captures a beauty of the city. One of my favourite musicals of all-time.

Here’s why I recommend it strongly:

    1. You would love Universal Studios then! You can take a tour of some of the famous movie sets. They also have a shows tailored to showing the “behind the scenes” aspects of the movie business.

I forgot about that one. I am sure my girlfriend would enjoy it!

  3. Omg I didn’t know about this place! It sounds so interesting! Despite the fact we don’t have much in my country, I love the snow 💯
