Tell us about your favorite pair of shoes, and where they’ve taken you.
I would have to say my Eddie Bauer open toed hiking sandals are one of my favorites. I can judge how fun my summer has been, by how often I wear these shoes because when I wear them I am typically going to: 1)the ocean, the 2) mountains, or 3) The Colorado River.

Surf fishing, surfing, boogie boarding, swimming with the kids, and assorted exploring occur at the beach in these shoes. I climb mountains, wade coastal streams, rocky beaches, and rocky jetties wearing these shoes.

In the mountains, I wear these to wade into streams stalking wild trout with my flyfishing pole on the Kern River, as well as in the Eastern Sierra. Last year they even made it to Montana, although the water was exceptionally cold, it felt good on my much maligned right ankle.

Shoes carry us many places in life. The steps we take define us, what we do, who we meet, and how we interact with the environment. What story do your soles tell?
