Daily writing prompt
Do you ever see wild animals?

I live in a pretty dry area near Los Angeles so we don’t see a ton of wildlife, unless you count all the strange people that come out at night in Hollywood. We have a nice mix of crows, like lots of crows, like murders upon murders upon murders of crows. We have some gigantic hawks, which look like they could carry away a small dog or cat, maybe even a child. We hear coyotes at night and have even seen a bobcat prowling around our neighborhood.

If I happen to go to the ocean there is quite a bit of wildlife out there. Going on fishing charter boats or fishing in the surf can be a wildlife watching adventure! I have caught sharks, rays, perch, halibut, rock cod, seabass, Bonita, barracuda, and many other species of fish in the ocean and that only scratches the surface of what is out there.

  1. Discussion Questions: What types of wild animals do you see regularly? What are your favorites?
