Describe a decision you made in the past that helped you learn or grow.
The decision to work out in the morning consistently has helped me immensely. It can be hard to get out of bed and get my ass in the gym, but the benefits far outweigh the costs.

Where do I workout?
My morning workouts take place in my garage typically. I have a pretty simple setup: an elliptical machine, a treadmill, three sets of barbells, a jump rope and a couple of benches. My routine consists or 3 sets of 6-7 exercises with progressively higher weights, followed by a “recovery day” that usually consists of yoga and physical therapy for various injuries I have sustained over the years.

Maintaining Focus Through the Workout
I also setup a television in there so I can keep my mind awake and engaged through the wee morning hours. I typically watch motivational videos to help me get a good mindset for the day, stock market news, or snowboarding videos if I am doing physical therapy.
Why I Love Morning Workouts
Morning workouts are great because you can’t procrastinate, especially when you have work later that day. Trying to stay disciplined with afternoon workouts is exponentially more difficult with five kids and their busy schedules. Theatre, Tae Kwon Do, Track, AP Testing, work, friends, and all the rest of it make it nearly impossible to get a good afternoon routine going, but the morning…ah the morning there usually is no excuse other than you are just plain lazy!
