My all-time favorite automobile would have to be ….. bumper cars! When I was younger I absolutely loved bumper cars, it was the highlight of my summer when I would get to ride them.
The Doldrums of Bumper Car Riding
Admittedly, I lost touch with my love for bumper cars in my twenties, but then when my children got old enough and we started going to Six Flags a lot, I realized that they could ride the bumper cars and that rekindled my love for them. I could not wait to give them the kind of head and neck trauma I received at an early age (read with sarcasm)!
The Re-Birth of a Dream
Now my kids are older and not very interested in bumper cars ….sad! The dream was rekindled once more though with my step-daughter who is now eight and absolutely loved the bumper cars! I imagine the next round will be with grandchildren, should God still be keeping me around.
