I have saved quite a bit for retirement, but I still have at least twelve years to go before I can retire from teaching. I am hoping that blogging will help me reach those financial goals of being independent and being able to enjoy the freedom of retirement. As things stand, I would be able to retire, but I would still probably need to work in some shape or form to maintain my lifestyle. I would love to be able to travel anywhere in the world at any time, especially in my 60’s. Both my parents have lived to be over eighty so I may have some significant time left on the clock.
